By day I work as a Costume Designer.
By Night I’m trying to set up this blog.
In between I write, read and play video games.
Resa’s Demo Reel
I got to design the costumes for the only movie ever made about Hendrix.

Pingback: What A Year 2012 Has Been…THANK YOU!!! « Boomie Bol
Thank you Boomie! What an honor this shout out is. 2013 is around the corner. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours!!!!
Great that you enjoyed my most on my one of my eating out experiences, I do like to cover the bathrooms as normally a un-kept bathroom/ washroom leads me to believe the kitchen environment is the same or worst. Just a personal measure I use to help me decide if I want to allow an establishment to feed me or not. I am glad you appreciate that slant…I wish to be able to do same for the kitchens but haven’t mustered up enough courage to ask..I will do soon hopefully though. I made one post, http://introvertlybubbly.wordpress.com/2013/02/06/fine-dining-carnival-style/
in conjunction with a costume/ costuming, you may like as I see your field in in costume designing…may be totally different costumes, but costumes none the less. We have Carnival here in Trinidad and Tobago on today and tomorrow…its full of expressions of costumes different shapes, types, some covering the body and some intentionally not so much, local designers and individuals making a statement…I think you would absolutely love it. Over today and tomorrow I hope to capture some more costuming, carnival and out mas and share same. Hope you enjoy my future posts.
I will check out the link!
Carnival is indeed a wonderful time for costumes.
Great reel of your work. Costumes as so essential to the feel of authenticity to a film. Plus they make the character’s image work or not. I like my characters’ to appear as I envision them in my head. Ayn Rand was perfect for she appeared in the cloths that were perfect for who she was in real life how she transformed on the screen. Everyone involved in a film are all essentials to making a film what it becomes. Your work is quite impressive. Jimi Hendrix’s look was so Hendrix. You dressed Viveca J. Fox.so that she looked gorgeous. It must be a unique and creative challenge to get the exact look. Congratulations. Keep the creativity flowing. Love your work. π jk
Thanks jk! π Glad you like my work. Although the business has changed a lot, due to hi-def and internet web series etc.. Well, that is a whole separate discussion! Have a great week! π β₯β₯

Thank you! xo – Resa
cool demo — loved the white blazer – I think I had one of those back in the day π
π
Wow! I’m impressed Resa! A million thanks for finding the time to visit my blog and especially for listening to my songs. If they ever make a movie about me (yuk yuk) I’ll insist they get you to do the costumes. What do you think about ‘gamillergatorbreath’ for my new Florida blog?
gatorbreath! “LOL” sheesh You can call it anything you want, but you look a heck of a lot cuter than gatorbreath! Although, it’s funny! π
Talent speaks for itself! β€

Thank you, Stefan! My friend, you enjoy life, too! Love Resa
I really wonder that I found this blog via your tweet “Hello world” and I am so happy about it, dear Resa. Your costume designs are awesome, it’s gorgeous that you designed for the Hendrix film. I admire you for your fantastic work and your great talent in designing, blogging on four blogs or even more π and writing novels π
Congrats, my dear friend.
XOXO Julia β€
Julia! You are such a lovely person!
Thank you for the compliments!
Being creative is the food of life for me. This is why I think you are so amazing.
Your creative style and spirit are very appealing.
I do believe that my shortcoming is that I am not a business person. That is what I really need.
The Hendrix movie was a highlight. I could tell you stories!
I still own a lot of the key wardrobe.
Feel free to communicate via email,
I might be a bit slow in answering right now, as I am designing a TV series, but answer I will!
I hope you got into a great Fashion Program, as you would be a feather in the cap.
XOXO Resa β€
You have such a cool job, Resa! Those costume designs are amazing. And is that Amanda I see from Highlander and the Raven series? I love her style, and now I know who designed her costume π
Yup! That is Elizabeth Gracen, aka, Amanda. We are still friends after all these years! Wow, now that you remind me, she wrote a book last year. It’s a teen fantasy. Okay, you have inspired me. I am going to read it, finally!
You’re friends with Elizabeth Gracen? Okay, you are now officially the coolest person I know π I’d love to read her book too.
I’ll get round to reading your book, madam, I’ve just moved flat to escape commuting. Back properly in Manchester!! Much more free thyme now. Innit.
How fab that you are back in Manchester! Maybe you’ll bump into Billy! I followed the link you sent, earlier. He looks marvelous, better with age! He was one of the actors I had in mind when I wrote the book. If nothing else, you’ll have a good laugh. π
Iβm sure Iβd get on super with him, one balding dude to another, so Iβll keep a sharp eye about for him!!
OMG Resa, that was fantastic! You are FABULOUS.
TY, GiGi! I’m so glad you got to see that demo!
Congratulations, Resa!
